John I agree with you on the friction cranes, the first time i had to walk one one a job my friend training me didnt tell me that you had to manually hold a 5299 American in gear. needless to say my seat belt slowed my attemped escape. I ended up riding it to the bottom of the slope ramp. THe next time i wlked it I had the door latched back seat belt off and my hand firmly locked on the drive lever.
