Differential lock

I have a Belarus 570 and have not determined how to engage the differential lock. I have pulled the lever out, locked into the 90 Degree position and pushed all the way in and I cannot tell any difference in any position. The differential lock light does not come on and the bulb is good. Anyone else seen this problem?
