Hey guys, I live in Middle Tennessee. Round bales of mixed grass that are about 1500 lb. go for about $25. Smaller round bales that are about 800 lb. go for about $15 to $20. On the other hand, that same grass, when put up in 50 lb. square bales goes for about $2.50 per bale. I have small equipment so I put up all of my hay in square bales. I usually supplement my cattle's feed in December thru March. I have ample pasture land and the grass actually holds out pretty well all winter, I just like to insure that the cows have plenty of feed. Tom
