you migt check with warehouses in your area (or other large businesses that use forklifts). a guy i work with has a brother that works in a large warehouse. he said they have to change pallet forks probably once a year on the forklifts due to OSHA and maintenance concerns. the forks start wearing very thin near the tips. i believe they just scrap the old ones. for home use, you could probably just chop the last few inches off the forks and they would still work fine. andy b.
