Hi Twopop--I am almost convinced that there are bolts or lock rings somewhere on the main shaft as when I stick solid iron in the quarter inch opening between the tran-T/a case and let it down there has to be at least 1000 lbs trying to pull it apart. Will keep all posted and hope the shop mech can help me.
