Paul, Ive never wired one of those in my life, but I can give you some theory that may help. The battery hot (not grounded) lead gets to the ammeter + usually from a wire on starter post. Thats all that goes to ammeter +. Now, all other loads like lights, ignition, switches, and generator output, goes to - side of ammeter. The wire from new voltage regulator is the one marked B on the regulator and it goes, as I said, to minus of ammeter. The the ignition switch lead thats hot when key or switch is on goes to coil or ballast resistor. Im assuming negative ground here but if different, just reverse polarity of ammeter. I.e., + to loads and - to battey ungrounded lead. Im gonna be out west next week but if u need more help post back later. John T in Indiana
