R J Use magnetic heater but place it on pump , as that is lowest point of hyd. system . Any water will go to lowest point and water will freeze up your pump lines . Also after the unit has stayed in the cold and not started for some time , crack open main drain at tank to get water out of lowest part of tank . After geting water drained off , replace plug , run system slow to get up to runing temp. if unit is needed at that time . Snowey
