My brother in Mont. uses an electric heater on his Hesston stackfeeder. I think he got it at an AG store in Billings. It helps when it's real cold like 30 below. It was 48 below a couple of years ago and he was the only rancher that had his cattle fed before 2:00pm that day.

We had a mixed farm consisting of grain and dairy all done with old machinery and by hand.
