I may have the wrong word for it. The straightening lever goes on the back at the rear of the tractor on the right side. It attaches to the draw bar. By adjusting the lever you can move the draw bar side to side, thus moving the plow in order to keep your rows straight. It apparently was quite common and is most definetely a requirement to enter into plowing competition with old tractors.
