Allen- what he did was to open the transmission cover and there inside is a rod that the reverse lever kicks the high/low into low.just take out the rod and the tractor will go backward in high range. My son bought an A and somebody had removed the rod and he could put it in reverse and shoot backward FAST !! needless to say that we fixed that real FAST!-mike
