Now I've seen everything on these forums. OK, for any of you guys who are listening. Here's how it works. I know, because I worked for Combined Ins 35 years ago, and they haven't changed that much since then. First of all you are sold the "Little Giant" introductory policy. It covers mostly travel accidents, but does cover other things such as fire accidents and roberies. Six months later they will sell you a full coverage accident policy which covers any kind of accident. There is a death clause, loss of time, some medical, none which will ever make you rich, but they DO pay. They are good farm policies, for that very reason, and the cost is nominal considering what any insurance costs now days. My cousin farms, and carries Combined. I didn't realize it until I was there one evening and the Combined agent was there, so I didn't sell it. He and his men have collected far more in benefits than they will ever live long enough to pay in premiums. I have never known Combined not to pay if the claim form was filled out correctly by the Doctor. As I said, nobody will get rich, but they do cover every concievable accident if you buy the full coverage policy. The way they market their product, they rely on customer satisfaction more than most companies since they actively use paid claims as a selling tool. I'm not saying buy or not buy, but rather that They are NOT a fly by night company. The last time I checked, they were rated A+ excellent by Alfred M. Best co. which is an independent company that rates all insurance companies. Bottom line is that they do exactly what they say they do. If a salesman says otherwise, then he is subject to fines. When buying anything, inferrence is a powerful thing. You have to be sure you heard correctly, not what you think you heard, or want to hear. The only Lie they tell is that they will pay you if your feelings get hurt, but we all know it to be a joke.

Today's Featured Article - History of the Nuffield Tractor - by Anthony West. The Nuffield tractor story started in early 1945.
