The one thing to add is make sure your trucks brakes and tire tread are in good condition.
Hard braking on gravel roads with turns and the trailer will have a tendency to push you -- especially if you end up without brakes on the trailer. You'll realize it once you go to stop the load.
I think the most common problem is not in pulling a load it is stopping the load. Good tread, trailer brakes (if you need them) and heads up driving and theres should be no issues.
