ford 8600 problems

i braught the 8600 home it isnt the head gasket it has a skip and blow whitish grey smoke until you start up a hill then it gets black i didnt try to rev it up much but when under load around 1600 rpms it starts to make a funny noise out the exhaust like a gas engine would do with burnt valves when i crack open the injector lines there is no change on number 4 or 5 so its not running on those two its got 5979 hours on it everthing else is very tight shifting steering dual power works rear tires are 90 percent fronts 75 any ideas on value and any ideas on problem before i take it apart thank you very much
