You did not state if you have a diesel or gas and if you are in the north or south. A good quality diesel service oil such as Cheveron's Delo or Shell's Rotella T are the benchmark in a lot of areas. If the weather is hot use 30wt some go with 15W40 in cooler weather (some don't like multigrades). We have run 30wt in our 574 year around for 31 years, but we don't use it much when the temperature is below freezing.
