Nathan, A lot of good suggestions here so I may as well add my 2 sense. You might tap on your Grandpa. I am willing to bet he has a lot of information to share and teaching is the finest form of flattery. He might have an old ironside way back in the barn you don't know about waiting for the right time to be worked on. That time could be now. I would bet a donut and a coffee he knows where one could be had reasonable enough as well. He might even finance part of it and let you work it off around his farm. Make sure school comes first though. These tractors have been around a long time but you only get the chance to go through school once. Well for most of us anyway, :) I had my first tractor before I owned a home. I still have it on my farm along with a few more and if the right one comes along, I'll make room for that one too. The fact that you are waiting for your Mom's approval is great. Respect like that is rare nowadays. Get your Grandpa to help win her over. She won't be sorry. You are making great family memories to cherish for the rest of your days. Not from a piece of iron, but from time spent with your roots while you can. Good luck.
