It really should not be all that much trouble. Most riding mowers have a flat frame in the front near the front wheels. Many times this will be where a small bumper can be bolted on. On ebay I have seen some good deals on atv winches. I can see where it would come in handy to pull something like a large limb off a fence. However as the other guy mentioned, be sure the frame can stand up to the extra pull you will pulling against it.
