Torque is just the amount of twist measued in ft lbs.
Horse power is the rate of doing work.
A piston or turbine steam engine o or electric motor can apply toque at 0 rpm. Twist all you want, if that shaft doesn't turn. No work is being done.
This thread should be well known and understood. How did the readers and question askers about torque and power ever graduate from grade 10 physics class?
