I agree!! I have a 56 420U and have had Dubuque tractors for 30 years and with what you diescribe, short of as a parts machine, let it be. Way too many unknowns with a "stuck" engine, like funny noises in the tranny and who knows what else. I bought a Ford V8 once made into a Doodle bug tractor. The engine was stuck, but the owner promised me that it ran last fall. Maybe the fall 10 or 15 years ago. I was able to salvage the gear shift knob and that was about it. There are much better machines out there for the same money that he is asking.
