I just freed the motor on one of my M John Deeres' by spraying a spray called Heat Valve Lubricant into the plug holes. I got the stuff at a GM dealer parts counter. After about a week, I took off the starter and applied pressure to the flywheel with a pry bar on the ring gear. You can put an awful lot of pressure on the ring gear without damage as long as it is a constant pressure. I don't recomend hitting the bar with a hammer or anything like that. Mine popped loose instantly, and had been stuck for at least 6 years. Good Luck!
