I'm thinking, is this on a lawn mower or a tractor, & what kind?????? If a tractor, probably an axle bearing, could be a brake assembly, or if from in more by the tranny/transfer gears it would be a bad bearing/gear inside. Can't help more unless we know more. --->Paul
