i have crushed asphalt with a eagle horizontal shaft impact crusher. 400 tons crushed to one inch minus would take about 2 hours of crushing but of course it takes 4 hours to set up the crusher and to hire us to crush it would be a week minimum at going rate i think is $250 an hour to buy new its about $450,000
but on a small scale im not sure what the best way to do it is asphalt crushed to 1 inch minus dose work very well on roads the only problem if the asphalt is clean and you crush it and leave it in a pile for any length of time it will start sticking back together
