my grandfather made a 120 volt worm getter he put a steel rod about 2 feet long with a wood 2\2 handle then hooked a power cord to it with the neutral wire not connected he plugged it in to a wall outlet and the worms came out real fast but to pick them up he had to unplug because with wet shoes he would get a shock later he found a place that sold them made the same way he said the shock was safe but very unpleasent
