SOAP BOX time again

I am getting real tired of seeing FOR SALE or WANTED ads in the discussion forums. The good people here at YTMAG have allowed us the use of these forums to trade knowledge not to hawk our products or services. The rules are very specific. All ads will go into the classifieds. Wish there was some way to get this accomplished. Maybe if those of us that are tired of seeing these rules breakers posting their ads would just ignore them completely they will go away. Now I have vented and feel much better. Dan

Recollections of a John Deere GP - by Charlie Cook. I grew up on my dad's 280 acre general farm in Western Michigan. Dad's only tractor when I was very young was the old GP. My first recollection of this tractor was when dad allowed my brother and myself to ride on the tractor with him driving. One of us would sit on the left fender (away from the clutch) and other would sit on the gas tank and hold onto the crankcase breather pipe.
