I think the key is "Respect!" I have no problem with being corrected about facts or opinions. I have been wrong and misinformed about many things. Anyone that cannot be challenged on correctness {fact, opinion, or deduction} because of ego, is no expert anyway! As long as people treat each other with respect there is no reason to get offended. But disrespect toward people, is remembered by all and will most likely result in shunning by all.
