Honestly, as a seller, I'd be inclined to blow you off a good bit also. Your message sounds almost identical to the "I'm from Africa and I'm going to buy your widget." After all, you haven't seen this tractor, you don't know anything about it, but you're saying you're going to buy it.

You also don't know about the other offers he's had. For all you know, he's had a dozen people at the door, and a hundred e-mails before receiving yours.

If I had a dollar for every person that said they were going to buy something of mine, and that they'd be over at such a and such a time, I'd be a rich man.
