just did a conversion on my MF 203 with 3 cyl perkins I got an alternator off a GM from the rebuild shop it has only one wire to connect up works great and charges fine only thing is I have to crack engine up in rpms to get it to excite after that it charges perfectly. I used some old scrap metal to attach it to the generator bracket that was already on the engine. regards rod
