Mystery (to me) engine block

I've been wondering about an old block that I found in bush at my farm. It's bare with no crank, head, distributor, etc. It's a six cylinder "L" head with the intake/exhaust manifold cast into the block. That should give a clue but I think it's from before my time. I'm guessing it's from the 30's or 40's. It's likely of Canadian origin but not sure. It has three small covers above the distributor opening on one side and a tappet cover below the intake/exhaust on the other. The bore is about 3". The casting # is 63525. It has the letters CWC below the casting #. It could be from a car, truck, tractor or whatever. Any ideas?
