Lots of Blaster, lots of patience. Work them on and off a little at a time, and if you are lucky, they'll come out. If one breaks off, or you are wanting to replace them, you will probably have to get the correct JD studs to replace them. Don't know about the numbered series, but I do know with the lettered series, they had a special thread. If you put regular stud bolts in them, they would leak. Also, if they are too long, you stand the chance of piercing the push rod tubes in the head and causing a leak into the crankcase. Holds true for the lettered series, may or may not for the numbered series.
