What kind of John Deere

Got 30 East Texas acres for hay (large rolls) and pasture. Considering Ford 4000 or massey 165. JD's are commonly available as well. What models would be comparable to the Massey or Ford models listed? Some IH are available too. Any of those fit the bill?
Any particular thing I should look for? Avoid?
