Hammering old clamps onto a new battery has been the death of many. Anything other than distilled water added to a cell shortens life as well. Worse yet is deep cycling. The dork that shuts the tractor/vehicle off just to open gates. Or those who run down batteries by leaving lights on etc will purchase lots of batteries. For parade tractors and cool weather use the Deere Hibernator batteries. For hot weather/high temps and daily use the Strong Box.
