I own John Deere Tractors, but for general utility work I have had very good experiences on Ford Tractors. All utility tractors I feel are high as poisen, and it stands to reason due to their user friendly size and handiness. If I had between four and six thousand dollars I would try to find a Ford 2000, 3000, or 4000. If I had less I would Choose as a minimum a Ford 8n or newer model utility. The reason I recomend the newer tractors though is better brakes live power, and power steering. I have no experience with Farmall's or International's, but I know people who love them, and think they are the best things since sliced bread. Just look for the tractor that gives you the best options tor your money, and if you take care of it, it will work out for you. Greg H.
