The Farmall 340 has 34.7 hp. The Allis Chalmers WD has 34.6 hp. The 340 weighs 4400 lbs. The WD weighs 3550 lbs. The 340 weighs 850 lbs more than the WD. So, the 340 should pull more. But, every 1 hp of the 340 has to move 126.8 lbs of tractor. For the WD each 1 hp has to move 102.6 lbs of tractor. So I would say the WD has more power available for the P.T.O. .
