leave the junk out but lock up the good stuff behind locked doors. I would also consider controlling traffic so people cant drive up to your building to load stuff conviently for them when your not home. Make them walk across the lawn from where your lane is chained closed or gated and then they will have to carry their stolen booty across the open area in plain sight to get to their vehicle. A doberman sign plus a blocked entrance will keep most people in their vehicle unless they believe they can out run a dobbie.
