There are various concoctions that will bleach wood. Most contain oxalic acid. How well they work depends on how bad the wood is stained and the species of wood. You might try just plain oxalic acid from your hardware store. It comes in crystal form, you dissolve the crystals in water. If that doesn't do it, you can try one of the more potent mixtures used for cleaning wood decks or teak. (You find teak cleaners at a marine hardware store.)
