Case distributor installation problems HELP!

Hello,
It's me, the new guy again. The other day I was working on my distributor for my '52 DC. I made a dumb mistake and took it out without getting the engine in the right position. I'm having a little trouble getting it put in right. I've been told that when the no. 1 piston is at the top, the cap on the end of the dist. shaft should have the rivited end pointing to the no. 1 wire. It's an old delco type with the no. 1 wire marked on the cap. Any help would be wonderfull. Lesson learned, however the consiquences are still there. Thanks! rw
