Feed a balanced ration of grain to the tune of 2-3 lbs per 100 lbs of bodyweight. Ok a 6 week old calf @150-175lbs needs between 4.5 bs+ of feed. Then offer hay free choice, they wont eat very much, say 2-3 lbs. So a 50lb bale of high quality hay should do 1 calf for 12-15+ days, of course as these calvs grow, so does the feed and hay intake.
