Oil pressure on all gasoline engines (I believe) is measured at the oil pump. The pump sucks oil from the oil pan and sends it to the guage then the filter and from there to the rod, main and cam bearings. Iv replaced my WIX (new design) filter with an AC C412 new (old design) filter and my problem went away. Jim
