I have a 1965 Oliver 1650 diesel that was factory equipped with a high speed transmission option. 5th & 6th gears are much faster than the standard ones found in 99% of these tractors. With 15.5-38 rear tires, it would go a measured (paced) 27 mph at 2450 rpm. This spring, I removed the Hydra-Power Drive & replaced it with an Over/Under Hydraulshift, which has a 20% overdrive, & pushes it down the road at a little over 32 mph. The last of the 1650s & early 1655s had this combination available. It can be some fun on a tractor ride !!!!!
