I hate to be the bad news guy but they are made to operate that way. Not just Coleman all of them. Its done to keep the temp as constant as possible by circulationg the air in the coach past the thermostat thermobulb thus allowing for the compressor to cycle as soon as the temp inside the unit warms to a preset temp. Without the fan running it might take longer for the thermobulb to sense that predetermined amount of change and turn on. Freezing one minute and sweating the next! Can always try it thougth, I'm just telling you what the manufacturers say.
