Actually, Imperial is correct for the old British system. Americans have their own, in which some units are different, often called U.S. or standard, or mabey American Standard. Not sure of the exact title, but it is certainly NOT Imperial. They shed the Imperial bit with the revolution and all. The confusion continues. Rod
