The output gear on the T/A is the driving gear of the constant mesh gears in the transmission. Not sure on the Heisler O/D but on the M&W 9-spd. these are the same pair of gears used to give the faster range of gears. So Your right, It would be impossible unless You did a LOT of work with special gears & output shafts on the T/A itself.
