RAB is correct. An alternator's output voltage is controlled by the voltage reg. Current is self regulatingin on an alternator. Charge rate will be determined by battery condition. Whether the max output of the alternator is 15 amp or 100 amp does not really matter. Charge rate determined by demand / resistance. Rod
