Find yourself a John Deere farm tractor dealer. Go there and get what they call "corn head grease". They sell it in tubes or 1 gallon buckets. This stuff is dirt and water resistant,and stays were you put it. I started using it for everything a few years ago, and will not use anything else. Amazing stuff.
