JD Model 70 3-Pt Anti-Sway Links

My JD Model 70, 1954, was configured with two turn-buckles crossed from one lift arm to the opposite lower link, mirrowed on each side. This often caused interferrence problems with the PTO shaft. Does anyone have a sketch or can you tell me how the original 3-pt hitch sway linkage was arrnaged. I see more modern tractors with the sway linkage attached from a fixed point outside each lift link, thereby pulling against the linch pins. Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated.
