A friend just bought a 20 horse 48" cut L series Deere for $2300. It is hydro and turns very tight. The advantage I see to owning it to a MTD is the qualitey of the mowing deck. It has a steel deck and not a pressed one. I have a craftsman 15 horse mower. I like the tractor and it has plenty of power but the mower deck is JUNK. I don't own anything green but my next mower will be. Good luck.
