We mow about 3 acres. Two years ago I bought a used LESCO walk behind mower. It has a 14 hp. Kawasaki engine and cuts 48". The mower is strong enough to pull a velke (stand up rider) or a sulky. We paid $875 for it and the darn thing cuts circles around any of those old riding mowers we used to have. We have had MTD, Deere,
Snapper and Bolen. Frankly that stuff can't compare to LESCO or SKAG. Buy a good used walk behind. I don't believe you will regret it. The parts are easy to get, and the machines are built a lot tougher than Wally World Riders. The front and side edges of my mower deck are made of 1/4" plate.
