Hi Jer,

Since the holes are not rusted thru, I would use a torch and add some lead solder in the pit area. This was the old way of doing body work. You will need some flux (acid) to clean the area where the solder sticks too. Some plumbers solder flux works well or murratic acid (pool acid).

Heat the area well to clean off all oils then add flux then add solder 50/50, 60/40 etc, then finish. This will last a very long time. Wheel weights works well for solder.
