whew,long thread...well,i grew up in construction(building houses)& helping grandad part-time farm(learned much from him & miss him terribly)...worked a while as a heavy equipment mechanic for an old guy that would take darn near anything into his shop(you learn lots that way :))...built a few race cars for friends...now(for 17 yrs)i work in a machine job shop specializing in short production runs(10 to 5000 pcs),i program,setup & run cnc lathes & do the odd manual job that always seems to come up...got a small rust collection & a small machine shop of my own to play with...still love turning wrenches most of all...
