Generally, my mileage decreases 10% with ethanol.
I have kept track of each gas purchase I have made for many years. The other day I was visiting with a mechanic about this, his comment was that he would be more concerned about vapor lock when using the blend. As far as the BTU thing, yes ethanol has far less BTU's based on what I have read. Now, hear is the real kicker, I own farm ground, and of course if ethanol becomes more widely used, I will benefit financially. There are alot of better options for decreasing our dependence on foreign oil, unfortunately most folks aren't even slightly interested in this issue.
