John Deere skidsteer Model 70

I have owned a John Deere Model 70 Skidsteer for about 12 years without having any problems. Recently it started acting up such as it wouldn't steer and if it does it jerks. It goes forward and backward fine but steering is not working properly, it is not responsive or jerks, also the bucket lift is slow and spongy. Any one have any ideas, I was told to adjust the linkeage for steering and tried that but it didn't help, also checked it for air leaks and did not find any, my fluid level is full?????????
